Cinnamon Sugar

Posted in Baking and Sweet Recipes Tell-a-Friend
Cinnamon Sugar

Cinnamon sugar is a mixture of ground cinnamon and granulated sugar used as a spice for desserts. While premixed versions are available commercially, it is simple to prepare at home, and more economical.

Makes: 500 grams
Ingredients
  • 500 g granulated sugar

  • 30 ml ground cinnamon

Method
  1. Stir the ground cinnamon into the sugar until fully combined

  2. Store in an airtight container.

Cinnamon-Flavoured Sugar

Cinnamon-flavoured sugar is different from cinnamon sugar because it stays white and is more subtle. Bury 3 cinnamon sticks in 500 g of granulated sugar for 2 weeks, stirring once a week.
