Agar-agar 

Agar-agar — the gelatine-like product of a red seaweed which has strong setting properties, agar-agar is chiefly produced in Japan, China and the USA. Sold in sheet or strip form, it is used commercially in canning, in the production of jellies, creams and emulsions, and as a medium for the laboratory culture of bacteria.
